The Artist Project Selection Committee met recently in Chicago to review the hundreds of applications that were received for the upcoming 2008 show, and Craig A. Anderson was accepted for The Artist Project 2008. Anderson is one of a select group of artists who received top scores from the Selection Committee.
The Artropolis weekend has developed a partnership with Chicago’s civic leaders and cultural institutions to create a dynamic forum for the thousands of art enthusiasts, collectors and curators expected to attend.
April 25-28, 2008?The Artist Project is Artropolis’ key event dedicated to the independent artist. The second annual exhibition and sale will feature original work from a juried selection of 300 established and emerging artists who are currently unaffiliated within the gallery community. It is a rare opportunity to discover and obtain interesting and affordable art directly form a uniquely talented group of artists.

Sheets, Planes and Pulp Works on Paper - September 16 – October 21, 2007 - Opening Reception: September 16
Contemporary art on (and of) paper has moved well beyond just
drawing, says Margaret Hawkins, juror for the exhibition, Sheets,
Planes and Pulp: Works on (and of) Paper. Margaret Hawkins is a
distinguished Chicago-based writer, critic, curator and teacher. The
exhibition will open on September 16. Cash and in-kind awards will be
presented at the reception.
